Frequently Asked Questions
What should we wear?
Styling may vary by location, but I recommend keeping outfits in neutral tones to keep the focus on you and your family. Neutral colors don’t need to match exactly—coordinating shades is perfect and keeps the look timeless and natural. Please see pinned Facebook post for more outfit info!
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
My main photography locations are Waukon, Decorah, and the surrounding areas. Currently, I travel no more than an hour from home to ensure I’m able to balance sessions with my young children. Travel beyond a 30-minute radius of Decorah, IA will include an additional $40 fee.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
After your session, I’ll carefully edit each photo to capture the true essence of your moments. Your full, beautifully edited gallery will be ready for you to enjoy within 2–4 weeks—perfectly timed to relive and share those memories with your loved ones
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session.
If conditions are unsafe or not ideal (heavy rain, extreme wind, storms, or temps that aren’t comfortable—especially for kids), we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.
For sudden weather changes, we may make a same-day call to reschedule.
Light cloud cover is actually great for photos, so we won’t reschedule for overcast skies alone.
